  10. 1. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: 
  11.     XFile is a low-profile, multifuntional utility program for
  12.     the Windows environment.  Diverse features such as fast
  13.     file deletions, alarms, and system monitoring make XFile
  14.     a handy day-to-day desktop companion.      
  15.  
  16.         Features of the XFile application include:
  17.          * Drag and drop file/directory deletion.
  18.          * Multi-drive file finder.
  19.          * Program launcher.
  20.          * Timed Program execution.
  21.          * Optional display of time, date, resources, and memory.
  22.              * Unlimited alarms with user-defined messages.                
  23.          * Configurable resource monitor and alarm.
  24.          * Configurable memory monitor and alarm.          
  25.          * Optional resetting of system time and date. 
  26.              * Informational reports on various software and hardware
  27.              components of the user's system.

  29.     XFile is offered to the user as shareware.  For more  
  30.     information about becoming a registered user of XFile,
  31.     please refer to help file included with the application or
  32.     see the section on ordering (found at the end of this file).

  35. 2. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
  36.     XFile requires Windows 3.1 or higher to operate; a mouse
  37.     is highly recommended for the file operations of the program.
  38.  
  39. 3. PROGRAM INSTALLATION:
  40.         While XFile may be run from a floppy disk, it is highly advisable
  41.     that the application program, XFILE.EXE, and the help file,
  42.     XFILE.HLP, be copied to any convenient location on your hard drive.
  43.     It also suggested that XFile be placed in your Windows "StartUp"
  44.     group so it is always available on the desktop.

  46.     XFile makes NO changes to any DOS or Windows configuration files.
  47.     It does create a parameter file called XFILE.INI, which is placed
  48.     in the default Windows directory (usually C:\WINDOWS).

  50. 4. "UNINSTALLING" XFILE:
  51.     If you wish to delete XFile from your system, simply delete the
  52.     following files from your system: XFILE.EXE, XFILE.HLP, and
  53.     XFILE.INI (this file is placed in your default Windows directory,
  54.     usually C:\WINDOWS).

  56. 5. ORDERING INFORMATION:
  57.     As noted above, XFile is offered to the user as shareware.  If
  58.     you find the program to be of value and continue to use it, you
  59.     are expected to pay the registration fee.  XFile is also offered
  60.     in an enhanced or professional edition, sporting more features
  61.     and utilities.  Ordering information can be found within the XFile
  62.     help file (XFILE.HLP) or within the accompanying ORDER.TXT file.
